The Garden Museum (Vauxhall, London) - Museum & event venue

Brief:

Create both digital & printed event invitations on the theme From Frost to Flower for the client’s Spring supplier showcase for 2026. The brief requested a custom digital illustration depicting stark Winter branches being taken over by Spring blossoms.

Approach:

The process began with the custom illustration, rendered digitally in a modern twist on classic watercolour style. The client put me in touch with the florist for the event, who was able to advise on which seasonal blooms would be best to include to provide cohesion between the stationery & flowers. I then worked with the client to provide several colour options for them to choose from.

Once the illustration was signed off by the client, I moved on to the format. Careful attention was paid to the partner logos, as some of these required reformatting for print. Once the final design was signed off, I collaborated closely with the print supplier to ensure high quality prints, with silver foiling across the client & partner logos, & event name for an impactful luxury finish.

To save time internally, the client chose our dispatch service, so we packed & addressed the envelopes according to the guest list provided, & posted them out directly to invitees.
